Earlier this year, Google launched a privacy-centered experience for its products, as well as an updated Privacy Policy and in October, the platform announced a new search engine feature that would allow users to better control their data.

From now on, people who surf the Internet can easily access their history directly without having to leave Search. This new add-on comes with several benefits. Individuals can now easily review and delete the latest activities, and efficiently gain access to the “most relevant privacy controls on their [Google] Account.” The platform adds an aura of transparency to the new search engine features because users are offered the opportunity to learn more about how Search utilizes available information.

Prior to this, retrospective data could only be accessed and managed by visiting and navigating someone’s Google Account.
